What’s your plan for 2012?

How will you maximize the effectiveness of your quiet times and pursue a deeper relationship with the Lord?

Good things rarely come to their full potential without a game plan.  If you’re seeking to grow in your walk with the Lord, you need a purposeful strategy in place.

Justin Taylor lists several plans here for reading through your Bible in 2012.  If you’re looking for some direction for your daily Bible reading, this is an excellent resource.

Maybe you’re not trying to get through the whole Bible.  Maybe you’re just trying to get started reading it. Maybe your goal is just to read your Bible every day.  You still need a plan.

A plan gives you direction and keeps you focused on an end result. A plan makes you more likely to succeed. And a plan helps you stay on track even if you miss a couple of days.

So find a plan.  It doesn’t have to be one that someone else came up with. Make up your own.  Or, if that makes you feel totally lost, do some research.  Check out our Resources page.  Go to the bookstore and peruse the devotionals.  Ask your parents or Connect Group leaders or other adults you trust for recommendations.  Put a little effort into it now so that by the time 2012 arrives, you’ve got a strategy.

And then, enjoy the fruits of your labor and start reading!

Love this blog! Tryout can also download YouVersion app which not includes countless Bible translations but also a dozen plans that offer daily reminders via your phone and/or email. It’s a great resource!
